Investigating 2D shapes
12th Jan 2017
P5/6 love investigating. Last week they investigated 2D shapes and their properties. They discovered lots of interesting facts by drawing and cutting. Some facts they discovered are: by adding one line to a square, you can make two triangles; by adding one line to a pentagon, you can make a triangle and a trapezium; and by adding three lines to a hexagon, you can make six triangles. They discovered lots of other interesting information about 2D shapes and worked really hard to make beautiful, eye-catching patterns.
