Primary Five have been learning about Early Man and just how important the discovery of making pottery, out of clay, was for Neolithic people. We decided to make our own jewellery pots using clay and these could then be given to Mums or loved ones as a Mother's Day gift. The children soon discovered just how hard it can be to mould the clay without a kiln, but they did a great job creating a base for their pots, making coils to surround the base and using water and tools to seal and decorate their creations! Well done P5, we have some very creative children in our class!
