Our children in P5 have been exploring place value using Dienes blocks this week. These hands-on resources helped the children see how numbers are made up and how they fit together, making abstract number concepts much more concrete. The children shared different ideas as to how they could make a number using the blocks and developed a deeper understanding of the number system - all while having fun with practical maths.
