Today in P5, the class continued to investigate the properties of 3D shapes by exploring their nets. The children unfolded various 3D shapes to examine their nets, matched each net to the correct shape name, and then cut out and constructed the nets to recreate the 3D shapes. Once built, the children showed great creativity in decorating their models.
It was a very practical and enjoyable lesson, allowing the children to clearly see what 3D shapes look like when opened out and to explore their properties in greater detail.
