We had a great week in P2 investigation science. Linked to our pets topic, we investigated how to clean up a mess that one of the dogs in the class pet shop left for us. We learnt new vocabulary such as liquid, absorbent, waterproof. The children had a great time deciding which material was best. We also enjoyed a STEM lesson linked to the gingerbread man story where we had to investigate ways to get the gingerbread man across the river. We had lots of great ideas varying from jet skis, boats, aircrafts, cargo jets to bridges. We looked at the best type of bridge and how to make it with a sturdy structure. The classroom was a mess with Lego but we had great fun!
