This term, our genre focus in P5 has been poetry. The children have been working hard to create descriptive and imaginative poems of their own. The class have spent time reading and exploring, planning and writing and improving and presenting their amazing work. They wrote a descriptive acrostic poem on ‘autumn’ and used powerful adjectives to write a similes poem about fireworks. The children used their firework similes to create stunning pieces of firework art. Some of the children chose to share their work with the class. Well done, P5. Some budding poets in our class.
