P2/3 worked together today to complete a Science experiment as part of our topic.
We use icy water to feel how cold it was, then we added a glove to our of our hands and compared the temperature of the water. We found out that the hand wearing the glove felt warmer in the water, similarity to the fur on the Polar Bear.
Then we used oil in a zip lock bag, we used our hand to hold the bag still. We concluded that when Polar Bears are wet they have a layer of fat which insulated their bodies from the cold and even the water.
p2/3 had great listening and involvement in the experiment. Well done!
