Today, P6/7 visited W5 to begin the Seismic Programme, which brings together elements from learning about another culture, simple language skills and global citizenship. It will culminate with pupils working together to find solutions to a current, real world STEM challenge activity, based in South America.
The children had a great time, exploring the science exhibition floors, climbing the Climbit fixture and meeting Paulina and Carlos, who were able to tell them lots about their home country of Chile. The children even learned a rap in Spanish and tried to empty a piñata by answering questions on what they had learned that day.
The Programme will continue in school and will finish with a final celebration day, back at W5, in March.
